This accounting application (financial information recording system/APIK) is designed for micro and small enterprises. The bookkeeping system can record basic transaction types suitable for sole proprietorships (micro businesses) as well as small enterprises. The distinction between micro and small enterprise recording lies primarily in the complexity of financial documentation and reporting. Micro businesses typically record and report only the sources and uses of funds, whereas small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) prepare more comprehensive reports such as income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.

The standardized recording procedures are based on standards developed collaboratively by Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI). Consequently, the system's accounting methodology is established, recognized, and accepted by banking institutions and financial agencies alike. As a result, reports generated from this application serve as a reliable foundation for financing applications, including credit proposals to banks and other financial institutions.

The application employs a double-entry accounting system, implemented through a simplified input method that categorizes transactions by type rather than by detailed account structures. Users are not required to select both debit and credit accounts; instead, they simply categorize each transaction as either income or expenditure, streamlining the data entry process.

This financial recording tool is suitable for micro-enterpreneurs and small businesses across various sectors, including services, trade, agriculture, and manufacturing. The system supports inventory management for seedlings, fertilizers, and pesticides in agriculture; raw materials in manufacturing; and goods in trade, utilizing FIFO (First-In-First-Out) methodology without complicating user operations.

In addition to core financial statements such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and detailed Financial Position reports, the application also provides financial performance indicators. These include solvency, liquidity, profitability, working capital turnover, operational efficiency, and repayment capacity—presented through concise and easily understandable explanations.
